CAN YOU DANCE A TOBACCO HILL. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Kentucky. D Major. Standard or ADae tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Can You Dance a Tobacco Hill?" is a reel from the playing of Owen 'Snake' Chapman. A possibly related, although distanced, tune is "Charlie MacLean's Strathspey," from the playing of fiddler Joe Peter MacLean (Rounder 7060, "Back of Boisdale").

Source for notated version: Owen "Snake Chapman (1919-2003, Canada, Pike County, Ky., 1995), who learned the tune from his father, G.W. Chapman [Titon].
