ELEANOR NEARY'S. Irish, Hornpipe. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by pianist Eleanor (Neary), one of the outstanding Irish musicians in Chicago in the 1930's, who died in 1993. Her husband, Jim Neary ("Neary's"), was a fiddler, originally from County Mayo, and their home was a haven for Irish musicians in Chicago in the 78 RPM era.
