RUN, RABBIT, RUN. Old-Time, Breakdown (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. The second strain is irregular. Composed by the late West Virginia fiddler Clarence "Curly" Herdman. The tune was renamed "Run, Nygarrd, Run" on a 1994 tape of Clyde Curley and other Pacific Northwest musicians, in honor of ex-Seattle musician Scott Nygarrd. It is thus a play on the title "Run, Nigger, Run."
