SAILING BACK OF WHIDDY (Ag seolad taob le Faoit). Irish, Air (4/4 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by fiddler James O’Neill (b. 1863, originally from County Down & Belfast), who, while a sergeant on the Chicago police force in the first decade of the twentieth century, collaborated with Captain Frances O’Neill on the seminal compendium Music of Ireland (1903).
