G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Philippe Varlet remarks the tune is the first two parts of a 4-part jig he learned under the title "King of All Jigs (The)," recorded by Tom Page's Siamsa Gaedheal Ceilidhe Band in 1931. The original 78 RPM track can be heard Reg Hall's CD "Past Masters of Irish Dance Music."
