AKA and see "Brouges an’ Brochan an’ A'," "I Lead Such a Troublesome Life," "New Widow Well Married (1) (The)," "Tied to a Wife," "Whistling Thief (The)." Irish, Slip Jig (9/8 time). E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The ancestral tune to O'Neill's slip jig has a long history as an air and dance tune in Scotland, where it is called "Woo'd and Married and a'."
