BOATING UP SANDY [2]. Old-Time, Breakdown. A Major ('A' part) & A Mixolydian ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Bluegrass fiddler Kenny Baker's father, Thaddeus Baker, played the tune and was cited by east Kentucky fiddler Owen Chapman as his source for the tune. They are quite similar in the first strain, but the second strains differ somewhat.
