NANCY'S GOT A PRETTY DRESS ON. American, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. This 'crooked' (one measure in each part is rhythmically irregular) tune was recorded by collector Alan Lomax in 1959 from the playing of Ozarks fiddler Absie Morrison (1876- , Landis, Searcy County, Arkansas). "Blue Mule" or "Old Blue Mule" is a related melody.
