EDINBURGH REEL [1]. AKA and see "Scotch Fiddle." American (?), Reel (2/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune appears twice in Rhode Island fiddler, music publisher and music store-keeper George Saunders' New and Compleat Instructor for the Violin. a unique violin tutor that incorporates dance tunes popular and in use for dances by Saunders. The reel first appears as "Edinburgh Reel" on page , but then curiously was printed again with a different title, "Scotch Fiddle," on page 34.
