SET AMÉRICAIN 2ÈME PARTIE (Set Americain, Second Part). AKA and see "Chamberlain Reel (The)," "Reel de l'hôtelier," French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBB. The tune was recorded by Montreal fiddler Isidore Soucy in October, 1925 (released y the Starr label in January, 1926). Soucy later re-recorded the tune in 1930 as the 5th figure of his “Quadrille des Laurentides” (Star 15737A). See notes under the alternate titles for more on this well-known reel.
