LOUGH KEY [1], THE. Irish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Nengah, County Tipperary, fiddler Seán Ryan (1919-1985). Lough Key is in County Roscommon. The first strain is similar enough to be cognate with the first strain of a few older hornpipes: see "O'Mealy's," "Hornpipe (9)" and "Hornpipe (26)."
