LITTLE BLACK DOG. AKA - "Little Black Dog Come a-Trottin' Down the Road." American, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This rather simple reel is sourced to Galax, Virginia, area fiddler Luther Davis (1887-1986). Missouri fiddler Cyril Stinnett's "Little Dog Trottin' Down The River" has a similar title, but is a different tune.
