The ragtime "Ozark Rag" was recorded in Dallas, Texas, in November, 1930, by the East Texas Serenaders, a string band from in and around Mineola, Texas, consisting (at that time) of Daniel Williams (fiddle), Cloet Hammon (guitar), John Munnerlyn (tenor banjo), and Henry Bogan (cello).
