FATHER JOHN ANGUS RANKIN'S MARCH. Canadian, March (4/4 time). Canada, Cape Breton. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Composed by the late fiddler Jerry Holland (1955-2009, Inverness, Cape Breton) in honor of Father John Angus Rankin, pianist, Cape Breton music enthusiast and former parish priest at Glendale, Inverness County, Cape Breton (retired 1994). Cranford (1995) notes tht Rankin helped to organize the 1st annual Glendale Fiddlers Festival in 1973.
