FATHACH EIREANNACH, AN (The Irish Giant). Irish, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was named in honor of Charles Byrne, a 7 ft., 7 in., Derryman who died in London in 1783. He had a mortal fear of being dissected by anatomists and directed his body be flung into the sea upon his death.
