FIFER'S DELIGHT, THE. American, Jig or March (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This 6/8 melody appears in "A. Shattuck's Book," a music manuscript commonplace book compiled by Abel Shattuck(1759-1816), supplemented by Park Shattuck, compiled around the year 1800. There are other, different, tunes with the same title.
