LADY MARY BENTINCK'S FANCY. English, Country Dance (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. Lady Mary Cavendish-Bentinck (1778-1843) is perhaps the person honored by this tune. She was the daughter of the Prime Minister William Henry Cavendish Bentinck, 3rd Duke of Portland (1738-1809) and Lady Margaret Cavendish Harley (1715-1785).
