REEL POPULAIRE. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). B Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). "Reel populaire" was recorded by multi-instrumentalist Robert Lemieux in Montreal in 1935. Lemieux played accordion on this recording (with uncredited piano accompaniment), but he also played an excellent fiddle on many of his recordings. The first strain of "Reel populaire" is shared with "Reel/Gigue du Diable."
