REELFOOT REEL. Bluegrass, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB'. Composed by Kentucky mandolin player Bill Monroe [1] (1911-1996), the "Father of Bluegrass." A Reelfoot reel is a type of fishing reel used for both casting and line storage, still quite popular in Western Tennessee.
