Tune properties and standard notation
GEORGE GREEN'S COLLEGE HORNPIPE. English, Hornpipe. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. George Green (1895-1975) was a melodeon player in the 20th century who played for the Little Downham Molly Dancers. His photograph was taken playing with the dancers by W.H. Palmer on Plough Monday, 1932 (reproduced in Elaine Bradtke's Truculent Rustics: Molly Dancing in East Anglia before 1940). The tune bears no resemblance to the familiar "College Hornpipe" that is also known as the "Sailor's Hornpipe."
