GIGUE IRLANDAISES [2]. AKA - "Gigue irlandaises No. 2." French-Canadian, Reel (cut and 3/2 time). G Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABBB'ABBB'ABBC. One of the first two tunes recorded by Montreal fiddle-master Biography:Isidore Soucy (1899-1963). Soucy researcher Jean Duval finds Soucy's tune to be a medley consisting of versions of three Irish reels: "Preston's Reel," "Bunch of Keys/Flowers of Limerick", and "Lady's Pantalettes"[1].
