"Can be used as a Clog." There was a 19th century British steamship named Amazon, although what connection, if by remote chance any, with this tune is unknown. Paul de Grae identifies it as a version of O'Neill's "Spellan's Fiddle" (Music of Ireland, 1903, No. 616). The beginning measures of the second part were incorporated into the beginning of the second part of O'Neill's "Star Hornpipe (1)."
