Irish, Highland. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was recorded under this title in New York in 1928 by County Longford fiddler Packie Dolan (1904-1932) and His Melody Boys.

A version of the tune was entered into vol. 2 of the c. 1883 music manuscript collection of Co. Leitrim fiddler and piper biography:Stephen Grier as "Down the Meadows (2)."
