REEL [88]. The reel was entered as an untitled tune intoBook 2 of the large c. 1883 music manuscript collection of County Leitrim fiddler and piper biography:Stephen Grier (c. 1824-1894). Fr. John Quinn and Conor Ward find it to be a version of a tune originally printed by Glasgow musician James Aird in his Selection of Scotch, English, Irish and Foreign Airs vol. 4 (1796, No. 141) as "Plate Rant."
