GLASGOW LASSES [1], THE. Scottish, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Gow, Surenne): AABB' (Athole). "Old" (Gow). John Glen (1891) finds the earliest printing of this tune in Neil Stewart's 1761 collection (p. 49). Glasgow is Gaelic for 'green hollow.'
