WHELAN’S BREAKDOWN, Reel des lutteurs (Le), Whalen's Breakdown. Canadian, Two-Step. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Whelan's Breakdown" was popularized by a recording by Don Messer and His Islanders, and is a popular dance tune in many parts of Canada. Its origins are unknown.
