Irish, Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. John Blessing was a latter-20th century flute player from near Mohill, County Leitrim. The tune however, was first published under the title "Mrs. Spens Munro's Jig" by Glasgow publisher James Aird, in his Selections of Scotch, Irish, English and Foreign Airs, vol. IV (1782).
