JOHN HAND'S DREAM. Irish?, Reel. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title perhaps refers to the same "J. Hand" or Johnny Hand to whom several tunes are attributed to in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883). There is also a James Hand who contributed tunes to that collection. New York musician and writer Don Meade believes the Hands may have been fiddling brothers playing the New England/New York stage circuits in the mid-1800's, however, information on biography:John Hand has been particularly hard to find and they remain enigmas for now.
