Three around Three is a dance figure the occurs in several country dances, and the tune takes its name from association with the dance figure. The original name may have been "Pleasures of the Town," perhaps n association Henry Fielding's playThe Author’s Farce and the Pleasures of the Town (1730). It is also association with a North West morris dance from Marston, Cheshire. English collector Reg Hall is said to have introduced the tune to 20th century trad. musicians.
