CORDICK'S HORNPIPE. Irish, Hornpipe. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "I copied (this air) from a MS. evidently written by a skilled fiddler with much musical taste, from Limerick, but the name of the writer nowhere appears" (Joyce). The melody appears in Scottish publisher James Kerr's Merry Melodies (c. 1880's) under the title "Byrne's Hornpipe (3)."
