Joe Pancerzewski learned this tune in Canada in the 1920's. This tune was in the repertoires of Manitoba fiddler Andy Dajarlis as well as Down-east fiddler Don Messer.Sainte-Adèle is a town in Quebec northwest of Montreal though it is not clear if the tune is named for the town.
