PRISONER BOY. American, Reel (cut time). USA, Texas. A Major. AEac# tuning (fiddle). "Prisoner Boy", a fast cross-tuned breakdown, was recorded for Victor Records in October, 1929, in Dallas, Texas, by Fiddlin' biography:Jim Pate (1867, 1935), accompanied on guitar by his son Tom. The tune (backed with "Texas Farewell" was to be their only recording.
