GOLDEN TRESSES [1]. American, Hornpipe or Jig. B Flat Major (Cole): C Major (Phillips). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Can be used as a Clog" (Ryan's). The tune is set as a jig in Stacy Phillips' collection (noted from the playing of Pennsylvania fiddler Jehile Kirkhuff) and as a hornpipe in Ryan's Mammoth/Cole's 1000.
