GONE INDIAN. American, Reel. USA, Texas. D Major ('A' part) & G Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB: ABC. The third ('C') part is irregular, having six measures, total. Texas fiddler Bob Willas band, The Texas Playboys, recorded this tune as "Gone Indian." Bob's father, John Wills, played a piece called "Lost Indian (2)," which is dissimilar to his son's piece. It may be that Bob retained the title, style and tempo of his father's tune, but crafted his own melody.
