This tune, from the Hayes Family (mid-19th century) has similar melodic material that shows up in "Old Rose" which, surprisingly was played in Canada (Graham Townsend/Ward Allen) and by Indiana fiddler Dick Summers. Ira Ford's 1940 "Rose Waltz (2)" also shares some of the melody, in the opening bars.
