PUNCHEON CAMPS [4]. American, Reel (cut time). Standard or AEae tuning (fiddle). AB. "Puncheon Camps [4]" is from the playing of fiddler William Mosses "Mose" Coffman (1905-1994), of Lewisburg, Greenbrier County, southeast West Virginia. He called the tune "Puncheon Camps" on his field recording and credited it to Gail Gillespie, but it seems It is cognate with Clyde Davenport's "Puncheon Camps," and perhaps there is a confusion of titles.
