GIGUE DU VIEUX FERMIER (Old Farmer's Jig, The). AKA and see "Liverpool Hornpipe (1)," "Reel des régates." French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Gigue de vieux fermier" is Montreal fiddler Joseph Allards version of the venerable "Liverpool Hornpipe (1)." The recorded another version of the tune for Victor the same year as "Reel des Régates"[1].
