Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is the well-known Scottish melody "Highland Laddie (1)." It appears as "Tom and Jerry" in a few English musicians' manuscripts, namely Robert Hughes (1823, Shropshire) and Lawrence Leadley (c. 1850, Yorkshire).
