Irish, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears as "Top of the Cliff" in County Cork Church of Ireland cleric James Goodman's mid-19th century music manusripts. Goodman (1828-1896) was an uilleann piper and and Irish speaker who collected locally in County Cork and elsewhere in Munster. He also obtained tunes from manuscripts and printed collections. Another version of the tune appears in the Goodman manuscripts under the title "Silver Top (The)."
