Originally from N:Tullymet, near Pitlochry, Perthshire. He moved to London in the last decade N:of his life. "Miss Ann Mackay's Favorite" was composed by Edinburgh fiddler-composer and bandleader biography:Robert Mackintosh (c. 1745-1808), who appended the alternate title "I'll Make You Fain to Follow Me." That alternate title belongs to a related but different 6/8 tune.
