The tune, as "Miss More of Raedens Favorite Dance," was printed in Montrose and Aberdeen dancing master and musician biography:Archibald Duff's Choice Selection (c. 1812). However, it was earlier printed as "Madrigal (The)" in Glasgow musician James Aird's Selection of Scotch, English, Irish and Foreign Airs, vol. (17).
