Manuscript, Aurora, Oregon, 1888-9, probably created by N:violinist and brass player William Hamilton Ehlen (1886-1935), who became a doctor in N:Uniontown, Washington, as well as leader of the Genesee (Idaho) Brass Band and N:Orchestra. N:"Schäferspiel" is a pastoral play. There is a manuscript copy of a 2nd violin part to N:this tune in the Dan Emmett Collection of the State Library of Ohio.
