BAMFORD HORNPIPE. American, Hornpipe. B Flat Major. Standard tuning. AABB (Cole): AA'BB' (Kerr). I have assigned an American provenance to the melody, based on its appearance in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883), and my belief that Ryan's predates the Kerr volume (also issued sometime in the 1880's). However, it is quite possible the tune is British in origin.
