ATTWOOD (HORNPIPE). AKA and see "Charles Attwood." Scottish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning. AABB. The melody was composed by Tyneside fiddler and composer James Hill and was named for Sir Charles Attwood. Attwood, of Weardale, was an industrial ironmaster who also owned and ran race horses.
