SWEENEY'S DREAM. AKA and see "Girl with the Laughing Eyes (The)," “Lame Fisherman (The),” "Paddy Killoran's (1).” Irish, Reel (whole or cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Breathnach, Vallely): AABB (Treoir). The title refers to the renowned south County Sligo fiddler Paddy Sweeney (1894-1974), with whom Ballymote (also south Sligo) fiddler Paddy Killoran (1905-1965) recorded the tune as a duet in the early 1930's in New York City.
