GREAT NORTHERN BANDS, THE. Irish, March (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title is Seamus Connolly's, who believes the tune is associated with the repertory of céilí bands from the northern counties of Ireland. It was suggested to him that it was the composition of piano accordion player Brian O'Kane (of the Siamsa Céilí Band), although when Connolly contacted him he denied he had composed it.
