DANCED BY ALDRIDGE [1]. AKA and see "Flag Dance (The)." Scottish, Jig (6/8 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. Robert Aldridge (d. 1793) was a stage dancer and ballet master of renown on the London and, later, Edinburgh stage. in the latter 19th century. John Quinn finds a cognate version in John Watlen's collection of tunes played at the Edinburgh circus as "Flag Dance (The)," dance by another famous period dancer, Mr. Sutton.
