CORN CUTTER [1], THE. Scottish, Reel (whole time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composition credited to "Mr. Bernard" by Lowe and Kerr. Mr. Bernard probably was an Edinburgh dancing master, to whom the Gow's dedicated a reel (see "Mr. Barnard"), and was perhaps known to Joseph Lowe, who was himself a musician and dancing master from Inverness.
