CUT AND COME AGAIN. Scottish, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Holland): AAB (Lowe). Composed by biography:Joseph Lowe (1796-1866), who published some influential collections in the 1840's. He was the son of John Lowe, a Brechin dancing teacher, and Joseph Lowe himself taught Scottish dancing in Edinburgh and Inverness. 'Cut and come again' often refers to the cutting of flowers during the growing season, to re-bloom later, however, it could possibly refer to a dance movement.
