GLENLYON'S PIPER. AKA and see "Glenlyon (1)." Scottish, Reel (whole time). A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. There must have been many pipers attached to Glenlyon in Perthsire. However, one Glenlyon piper, High MacKenzie, is reported to have piped "A Breadalbane rant in triumph" as a postscript to Captain Robert Campbell 5th of Glenlyon's winter massacre of the Glencoe MacDonalds in 1692.
